Privacy Policy

KrakenLED Dashboard is designed to run entirely on your own computer and local network. We do not operate any servers that your copy of the app talks to, and we do not collect, transmit, store, or sell your personal data.

The short version: the app stays on your device. It controls your own WLED lighting hardware over your local network and reads your MIDI controller. Nothing is sent to KrakenLED or any third party. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking.

Information we collect

None. The KrakenLED Dashboard does not collect personal information. It has no user accounts, no sign‑in, no analytics or telemetry, and it does not send usage data anywhere.

Data stored on your device

Your settings, presets, effect libraries, MIDI mappings, and device list are saved locally on your own computer (in the application's local storage) so the app remembers them between sessions. This information never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

Network access

Your lighting hardware. The app communicates directly with the WLED devices on your own local network to send lighting commands and read their status. This traffic stays within your network.
No external servers. The app does not connect to any KrakenLED‑operated server for its core function. If a future feature requires an internet service, this policy will be updated before that feature ships.

Device permissions

MIDI. Used only to read input from your connected MIDI controller (pads, knobs, faders). No MIDI data is transmitted off your device.
Local network. Used only to discover and control your own WLED lighting devices.

Third parties

We do not share, sell, or disclose any information to third parties, because we do not collect any. The app bundles open‑source components which run locally and do not transmit your data.

Children's privacy

KrakenLED Dashboard is a professional lighting‑control tool and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect any information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
